The kids were stir crazy and mom was experiencing all kinds of emotions. We ended up going to IKEA for lunch and a little light shopping.
Spring Break Day 5 - After driving home from IKEA in tears the day before, I enlisted the help of our favorite 'nanny.' Also known as Aunt Bailey. We picked her up and forced her into spending the day with us in Salem. We went to the Riverfront Park with Carousel, McDonald's pick up to eat at Grandma's house, Grandma's office to say HI! Then, we went off to spend a few good hours at the Gilbert House.
If you are in Oregon and have not visited the Gilbert House I highly recommend it! We get in for free with our OMSI membership. We've been going a lot more lately. This was our 3rd visit in 2 months.

This was Bennett's first time, and he LOVED it! Every time we stopped and had to get off he would SCREAM! I can't wait for him to start talking so he can let us know how he really feels.
Between my punch card and the kids winning free rides they all got to ride 3 times, but Bennett only twice. He was not so happy about it. He kept slamming his head back against the gate.
The Salem Carousel has a new game! It is the 'Serendipity Game.' This wooden fish is named Serendipity and her body is filled with plastic rings. There are two Golden Rings and anyone who grabs a Golden ring from Serendipity's mouth, as you go round and round, wins a free ride! We had TONS of fun playing! The first game Bailey got a ring and Glenn got both rings. The 2nd time Glenn and Lily got both. The 3rd time Lily got one ring.

Impressive. Did they finally kick you guys out?
That's really fun and a good idea, but no one's ever gonna want to ride on the inside horses now! I like Bennett's methods of communication in the meantime, though. Who needs to be able to talk when they're willing to slam their head back into a wrought iron fence in protest?
